File Locking

What happens when two users access and write to the same document simultaneously?
This is prevented by file locking. Our native drivers can detect write requests which generate a lock on the file. Only one user can modify the file at any given time.
- Can users merge multiple revisions after a conflict?
Yes. Even with file locking, conflicts can occasionally occur when users go offline. These conflicts can be resolved using our FSaaS’s version management.

For instance, when a remote user requests access, our FSaaS leverages Microsoft’s web server (IIS) to use their true identity to perfectly simulate internal access such that identity and authorization are unaffected by user location.
